Unveiling new signs showcasing district landmarks

Ashfield District Council has unveiled new look signs featuring local landmarks as part of its aim to improve gateway entrances to the District.

The first of Ashfield’s new-look signs were unveiled at Hucknall and Sutton in Ashfield on Monday, 5 September. At over 8 feet high and featuring colour images of the local area, the signs are a significant change from the existing boundary signs

Trevor Middleton the Town Centres and Markets Manager of Ashfield District Council first approached Sign Technician Mark Holmes back in November, utilizing the supplied imagery, Mark produced a selection of design options for Trevor to present to the council members.

"I've really enjoyed this project and its extremely satisfying to see all the hard work paying off" Said Mark.
